Why you need Sage Green in your home this summer!

As we all know, Sage Green has taken the design industry by storm. It's everywhere, and there is a very good reason for that! We can see it used as a wall colour, a tile colour, and even a cabinet colour. It has become super popular in decor items and even clothing. Now I love Sage Green and I'm going to explain why you should too!

Reason One: Psychology

One of the most dominant colours in our world is the colour green, it can be seen in nature which covers the globe. Green emits the feeling of relaxation and restfulness. The colour green symbolizes many things such as growth, renewal, harmony, safety, and fertility. It also promotes balance and optimism. When used in Interior Design, sage green helps to create a calming and safe space. This can be seen used in places like yoga studios, doctors offices, home offices, and much more. If you are looking to create a space in your home that elicits the feeling of calmness and positivity then sage green could be the colour for you!

Reason Two: Effects On the Body

We just went over the mental effects of green, now let's talk about the physical effects! The colour green can help energize us. If you think about people who swear by exercising outside there could be a good reason for that. Being in nature surrounded by green can boost their energy levels! Adding green to your home can have the same effect! Consider adding green decor or some green paint into your exercise space or where you do the most work. My master bedroom is green and I find myself waking up with more energy and motivation.

Finally: Easy Ways to Incorporate Green

This may seem obvious but the easiest way to add green into your space is with plants, real or fake! Now I don't have much of a green thumb so I typically go for the fake option but either will work. The next way is to paint or use wallpaper! There are many brands with lots of options for wallpaper, you get to choose the colour and the pattern. You can even use wallpaper or paint to create a fun accent wall! Last but not least is artwork or decor items. Depending on where you decide to purchase these items, this will be the most cost-effective option. I highly recommend checking out places like Home-sense or TJ-Maxx and If you are really in a pinch you can always check out your local thrift store!
